CURCUMA E MIELE: POTENTE ANTIBIOTICO INVERNALE (Turmeric + Honey= effective antibiotic against winter desease)

Durante i pasti, su quello respiratorio.

L’alternativa

  • 2 cucchiaini curcuma in polvere
  • 1 limone
  • pepe nero

(ENGLISH VERSION)
Many of us know perfectly the turmeric and its many properties. We have seen how it can be used to combat pain and arthritis, as it is capable of treating and preventing diabetes. We have also seen the Golden Milk, an important recipe useful to combat the muscle aches and the sore throat, thanks to the anti-inflammatory action of curcumin.
Few, however, know the power of turmeric combined with honey.
Honey has always been considered a natural antibiotic. If associated with cinnamon, then, it can have many beneficial effects, useful for combat, for example:
  • arthritis
  • cold
  • sore throat

what we can derive then, combining the antibiotic power of  the honey to the anti-inflammatory of the turmeric?

The first thing we can say is that this mixture generates a powerful natural antibiotic that not only destroys the bacteria that cause the most common diseases, but also promotes the natural defenses of our organism.
Unlike the common synthetic antibiotics, this sort of natural medicine has no negative effect on intestinal microflora.

Turmeric and honey: a powerful natural antibiotic against cold and sore throat

The turmeric, remember, contains a powerful active ingredient that takes the name of curcumin, capable of reaching more than 150 potential therapeutic activities, including the properties:
  • antioxidants
  • anti-inflammatory
  • anti-cancer.
The consumption of turmeric and honey significantly improves the digestion and increases the activity of the intestinal flora.
In Ayurvedic medicine it is one of the most commonly used traditional remedies useful to combat the cold. At the first symptoms of a sore throat or illnesses from cooling, you may decide to employ this “honey d’oro”. Once prepared, the mixture, you can store  it for three days, the time required for disappearing the symptoms of your illness.
To achieve this you need simply:
  • 100 grams of honey and
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder.
Stir the two ingredients and keep them in a jar.
At the first signs of cooling, take: during the first day half a teaspoon of the mixture every hour; during the second day every two hours and during the third day the same dose, only three times a day.
You can add this mixture in tea or other hot beverages.
The turmeric fluidizes the blood and reduces the blood pressure. Pay attention if you suffer from diabetes.
Turmeric, moreover, should not be taken in case of liver disease or biliary problems.
If this remedy is taken before meals, it acts on the digestive system. During meals, on the respiratory.

The alternative

There is also a very interesting alternative to this recipe that sees the addition of ginger, pepper and a splash of lemon.
Here are the ingredients:
  • 120 grams of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of scratch ginger
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1 lemon
  • black pepper
Mixed all the ingredients and preserved.
This alternative combines the anti-inflammatory power  and antioxidant effects of turmeric, the detoxifying  ginger , helps digestion and fights the articular pain. Pepper then serves to increase the bioavailability of curcumin, as we have seen in our previous article.
Also in this case, the solution may be consumed dissolved in a hot drink to taste.
